Infant Safe Sleep
Every three days an infant in Michigan dies due to an unsafe place to sleep…
Infants up to the age of one should always be placed to sleep on their back, alone in a crib or pack-n-play with no toys, blankets, pillows or bumpers. An empty sleep space with a firm mattress and tight fitted sheet is the safest place for an infant to sleep.
If your family or someone you know does not have safe sleep arrangements for their infant, please visit www.michigan.gov/safesleep or contact us for resources and assistance.
